As I’ve led trainings, I’ve been able to deepen my own knowledge of the area, and conduct valuable networking with the experts. I also love having an outlet for sharing my knowledge and passion for nature!

I love being a Wisconsin Master Naturalist. It brings me so much joy and hope for the future, knowing that there are so many people who care about the natural world and who dedicate so much time and effort toward education and stewardship. This is important work, and it’s wonderful to be a part of this community.

The Master Naturalist program set me up for volunteering in my community with respect and basic appreciation for what I bring to the table.

I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of training including learning new things about nature, making new friends, the great instructors and guest speakers, and of course being out in nature. And mostly, it gave me the skills and confidence I need to help make our natural world better.

I’ve gotten to know so many wonderful people through this program. The Master Naturalist volunteers are the most giving people I’ve ever met. I feel like I’ve gained a new circle of wonderful friends and acquaintances who I see at volunteer events. The enthusiasm of new volunteers is inspiring.

I have truly enjoyed meeting with and interacting with resource experts and professionals from around the state. I also find tremendous value in the opportunity we have to create a group of dedicated volunteers.

Although I anticipated a great experience, the high level of knowledge and passion for the natural world was beyond expectations!!!! This training was outstanding! It opened my eyes to how much is going on all around me. I’m excited to contribute more with volunteer opportunities!

Participating in a Master Naturalist Program is one of the best things you can do. Whether you have a degree in science or not, you’re sure to learn so much more, while gaining knowledge of other perspectives around you. This is an experience everyone needs!
