A Note on Road Construction:

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is rehabilitating the I-94 bridges over the St. Croix River between Hudson, WI, and Lakeland, MN, with work running through October 31, 2026.  This will not impact your travel to Summit activities, unless you are staying in Minnesota.

Star Prairie Seed Nursery: 1616 County Rd H, New Richmond, WI

Swinging Gate Fish & Wildlife Area, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources: Take HWY 65 north out of River Falls.  Swinging Gate Fish & Wildlife Area is 0.6 miles past the HWY35/HWY65 interchange.  The gravel parking lot is located on the right (South) side of the road. 

The Prairie Enthusiasts – Alexander Oak Savanna: 7829 WI-65, River Falls, WI 54022
Take HWY 65 south out of River Falls. Alexander Oak Savanna is 1.6 miles south of the roundabout (near Kwik Trip on right and Cemstone on left). As you pass the Town of River Falls Town Hall building on your left, you will come down a small hill; the gravel parking lot is located on the right (west) side of the road.

Campus Parking Options

Parking in campus lots is $1/hour and is enforced 24 hours/day. Free off-campus street parking may be available.

  • University of Wisconsin River Falls, Pay 1 parking lot: Located at the corner of 2nd Street and Cascade Ave. The parking lot entrance is on 2nd Street.
  • University of Wisconsin River Falls, Pay 2 parking lot: 520 Wild Rose Ave, River Falls, WI 54022
  1. Pay for parking by scanning a posted QR code or using a nearby pay station.
  2. Have your license plate number ready when paying.
  3. Please purchase parking upon arrival to avoid a citation.
