Great Lakes Advanced Training

This one-day advanced training course will be taught by Jim Buchholz, Drew Morris, Chris Lilek and various guest instructors from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Great Lakes Research and School of Freshwater Science and UW Sea Grant.  Participants will meet at the Sanderling Nature Center located along the shoreline of Lake Michigan at Kohler-Andrae State Park.  The course will include some classroom instruction, but most of the day will be spent on various field trips.  Transportation will be provided by bus if sufficient registrations are received, or by car-pooling.

The course fulfills the Master Naturalist Volunteer’s annual advanced training requirement.  At this time, course enrollment is open to anyone and is not restricted to Master Naturalist Volunteers.
