Wildflower Walk

May 12, Welty Environmental Center, Beloit

For nature-lovers, there is no better way to celebrate the final arrival of spring than a hike in the forest to observe the blooms of spring wildflowers. On this walk, we’ll look for the blooms of Dutchman’s breeches, hepaticas, violets, spring beauty, wild ginger, and anemones. Dependent on the yearly variation in bloom time, there may also be columbine, blue wood phlox, trilliums, and Jack in the Pulpit. Big Hill Park is the perfect place for this type of hike because it contains one of the best wildflower displays in Rock county.$10 members / $12 non-members (space limited to 20) Register Here.
